Sittin' in the mornin' sun, I'll be sittin' when the evenings done..

No mountain today. Blustery day in Portland.

Good morning, Portland!

Fall is truly spectacular.

These were taken yesterday, but we saved them for today's post.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore —
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door —
Only this and nothing more.”

Beautiful blue sky today.

A bonus picture of the water front today since there is no mountain again.

It showed up later today.

It's comforting to always know the mountain is there. Perhaps on a day like this, we both (mountain and us) are blinded by the glorious sunshine!

Forget Mt. Hood ~ Look at those vibrant fall colors!

Wednesday, November 4, 2015

Today she pushes up through the clouds, ominous, strong and protective. Her top stretching up to touch the pink colors of a new day.

Fall is here. Storms loom and the mountain hides.

The Mountain is a mystery today but hopefully there is snow in those clouds.

About this blog

We live in a beautiful place. Every day we are reminded of how unique and perpetually lovely the Pacific Northwest is. And we are reminded of how it changes; yet is the same. The same mountain stands, even though the views (for us) come in and out. These daily pictures will allow you to see a peak of the landscape that we try to stop each day and take in for at least one moment.

Whether from our home(s), or from our work building, we are watching and always appreciating the place we call home.

Enjoy the view!
