That's how it started today.  And then...

Another stunning morning here in our pretty little city.

 

 

And just when we think that hope is no longer within us...

Shhh.... be still. Listen.

Now that's what I'm talking about.

14 inches of snow are coming to the mountain.

Good afternoon.

Morning has broken, like the first morning. Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird.

Praise for the singing, praise for the morning.

It's all about the fire boat these days.

They came back in the afternoon.

The fire bureau adding color to our gray day.

There is a rainbow everyday.

...someday I wish upon a star, wake up where the clouds are far behind me. Where trouble melts like lemon drops high above the chimney top that's where you'll find me.

 

 

 

 

Some days I swear the sky sings anticipating the arrival of the day.

No mountain and a crane in the way so I shot the blue instead.

 

 

 

And here she stands, capped with snow and ice in all of her glory,

the great protector and watchful eye over lovely Portland. 

The blue ice melts and the blue sky smiles.
